On the 2Tst June in the presence of \< large: number oi &:eot(emen and tenant farmers^ Lord .Tollemache ■ successfully completed the filling of &he first four silos wbieh he has con 3tructed at Peckforton, Chester, for his experiments" with' ensilage. The p-rass wae taken j from,, an, aojacent' orchard, and was of very rank quality, unsuitable for 'mak'ihg 'good hay. Lord i-? confident of the Bucce = 8 "of th" experiment, and maintains that mowing gra«s which will make six tons oi nutritious ensilage wili make only two tone of hay. One silo will be left open until April next, in order to thorccghly test il* keeping properties. . ■-^ - -
