Kiwitea Road Board.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Board was held at the Manchester Boad Board'B office on Monday afternoon at S o'clock. Present : Messrs 'I'aylor (chair- * man) Davies, Williamson, and Bellve. The minutes of the previous ordinary monthly meeting were read and confirmed. The following correspondence was also read from settlers desirous of felling boundary and road lines : — Fitzherbert and Macmillan, Pollock, Zajonsnowski, and Hilgour. Resolved with reference to Messrs Fitzherbert and MacmilUn's application, that as there is no survey shown on the plans in possession of the Board the application must be refused, and that Mr litzherbert be allowed to fell the 1100 links referred to in his letter if it is & snrveyed line, and be paid not to exceed £2 per acre Besolved that Mr Zajonsnowski be empowered to fell between 311, 312, and 313, sections also th# bush from tiie present cleared line at 309 section to the corner of 156, not to exceed £2 per acre. Kesolved that Mr Pollock's application bt granted on same condition a9 to price. Similar permission on same terms was given to MrHilgour. Besolved that the clerk apply to the Chairman of the Oroua County for information respecting their intention with regard to the deviation of the Kiwitea n>3d and also to ascertain if the said road is a County or District road. The chairman reported his visit to Palmerston on Saturday last re the adjustment of accounts between the Manawatu and Kiwitea Boards, and was pleased to say that so far things bad been settled very satisfactorily. The official report of the Committee would b* forthcoming at the next meeting of the Board. A ccounts from the clerk of the Board for £6 9s 5d for salary and expenses, &c, and from J. W. Benson of Marton for bush felling £11 8s were passed for payment. The Board then adjourned.
