At the District Court yesterday Frederick King sued the Scottish Imperial Insurance Company for £100, being the amount of insurance on goods destro3'ed by fire on April 23rd last. After the fire King and his wife were tried for arson, but got oft". Judge Harvey, in giving judgment in the civil case yesterday, said llu 1 evidence whs very conflicting, and he was not satisfied with Mr and Mrs King's, rhere was not a single item in the proof sf the loss but had been greatly exaggerated, such exaggeration evidently being made with fraudulent intent.
