" Ad adjourned ordinary meeting of the above council was 1) eld at its chambers. Foxton, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Present— Crs Thynno (chairman), Davis,, McLennan, Gibson, Hadfield, McXenzie, and Itockstrow. The minutes of the previous ordinary meeting were read and confirmed. Several letters and telegrams of an unimportant nature were also read. Several resolutions ot little- or no interest to this district were passed. The business, which was chiefly of a routine character, was proceeding as our reporter left.
