A cornet solo was also playeU in the Bulls, office, the whole of the experiments were most satisfactory, and great credit is due, to the manufacturer for the very neat* 4 manner in which the whole of the work' has been completed. * j I am informed the Secretary of the Public Library has received a donation of works, which has increased the books in the library to over 600, and at a meeting held on Monday a farther supply of the newest books issued was ordered from Sydney. Great interest is taken by the residents in th« library. I also hear that, the directors ate about preparing a catalogue for printing, so if any residents in your township ire in possession of any of the books of the Clifton Public 'Library, they would confer a favor by returning them at once. The directors (estimate that a large number of books have been forgotten to be returned. [' The Harmonic Society has in practise "Weber's Mass in D, wnich they propose giving shortly.
