Narrow Escape From Shipwreck.
I>EB TOUTED PBEBS ASSOCIATION. J j Blvvv, This Day. j The Rotomahana just arrived. At twenty minutes to four she struck Waipa wa Point about the same place as the Tararua. She bumped several times and ' remained on the rocks for about half an 1 hour. The tide was three quarters flood, the, sea was smooth, fortunately, and as \-, the tide made she floated off, and came on. She is making no water but an ex- ' amination shows that two blades were < carried away and two pieces broken off ] the other blade, Cannot examine her < bottom here, consequently she will return, '■ to Port I'h aimers. She is at present dis- 1 charging cargo and will take nothing in. The very- fine weather Jias doubtless prevented a repetition of Tararua disaster. 1
