!*PEU UNITED PIIESS ASSOCIATION ] GisnoriNE. This Day. Kenneth Kerr, proprietor of Facts, and Mr Wehb, printer, were to-day chanted at the R.M. Court, on the information of C. A. De Latour, M.H.R.. the former for publishing, and the latter for printing a statement in Facts, reflecting on the commercial cAiracier and intei'- j nty of the informant. Defendants did not appear, neither were they represented by counsel. Prior to the case being called on, Mr Kenny, the defendant's I counsel had informed His Worship that ; he had no m-ht to issue a sumnon-. oil an information laid in Wellington. The R.M. said the point was open to argu- : ment. Mr Rees, for the complainant, 1 applied for a warrant for the arrest of defendants, but this the Magistrate declined to accede to, preferring to first consult the Crown Law Officers, and consequently adj ourncd_'„ matters tiii .' hur.sday. ____ m _,^__ mamm
