Wellington, This Day. The debate was contiuued by Mr Connolly, who^ thought it was L time to discuss the possibility of giving fresh life to the dry bones of Provincialism. His experience and that of bis constituents 1 " had been that Provincialism was the most centralising system possible. He would not .remain an-hour in the if it consented. Captain Mackenzie thought the present system of Local Sel^Government satisfactory, and a i great improvement on Provincialism. Mr Pyke moved the adjournment of' 1 the debate, and the I House rose at 12 o'clock.
