♦ [PBB TTNITED PEESB ASSOCIATION.] Wanganui, This Day. A new Lodge of the United Ancient Order of Druids was inaugurated last night by the Grand Lodge Deputy, Walter Bishop. The new Lodge starts with 60 enrolled members. It is the 47 th in New Zealand, and numbered 167 in the Australasian district of the Order. The new Lodge is called the Bishop Lodge. A Freethought Association has been formed in Wanganui. They held the first meeting recently, at which about 40 persons attended ; 18 signed their names as being willing to become members. It is proposed to hold meetings every Sunday evening. Ministers will be asked to give their views, provided free discussion thereon is allowed. Dttnedih, This Day. Bapnall, drowned at Tunia yesterday, was accidental death by drowning. Auckland, This Day. Sevaral milk vendors are to be prosecuted for adulteration. The milk contained 9 per cent, of water.
