The Loan.
TO TffEEDITOB OF THB BTA*. Sib, — The result of the Toting oa Saturday has 'proved my remarks in my last letter to have been correct, riz, that the opponents to the measure were but ft handful after all. I think it is due to the one or two erstwhile strongest op^ ponents to say that at last they thought better of it, exercised their reason, and did nut rote at all, and thus like true men, while they perhaps could not conscientiously rote in favor of the loan, made up their minds not to retard progress by voting against it. Now that the matter is settled, I would suggest that by -gone sbe by-gones*— let us forgive and forget the past, and in future work harmoniously together for the common weal, and we shall yet see Feilding rise into still greater prosperity than ever.-— I am, &s, - , "...
