Serious Accident at Bulls.

(From our Special Correspondent.) Bulls, June 1. A serious accident occurred this morning in a gravel pit near the Racecourse, on Hammond's farm. A man named John Cotton, employed by Head and Gorton, contractors, was filling a cart this morning when about ten tons of earth fell, covering him. Only Cotton and Jessop were in the pit at the time. Jessop escaped unhurt, and proceeded to dig Cotton out. Having obtained assistance, Cotton was removed to Broughton's Hotel, where he is now being attended by Dr Frood. Later. In Cotton's case no bones were broken, but the skin torn from the lower part of his body, and he suffers fearful agony. Dr Frood has sewn up the wound as well as circumstances would permit.
