! [PKE UKITBD PBBSS ASSOCIATION. J JDunbdin, This Day. The first tenders for perpetual leases were opened at the Land Board to-day. Altogether one hundred Motions were open for leasing, comprising 26,000 acres, situated in various districts. There were only twelve tenders. Nine sections were leased to seven tenderers, and the total area disposed of amounts only to 1492 acres. In some cases 7s and 7s 6d were the prices obtained where the upset rental had been fixed at 5s per acre, and 4a where 2s 6d had been fixed, and Is ljd where Is had been fixed.
