« [pee united press association. l Dctnedin, This Day. Tbe Wain case was continued at the Police Court yesterday, and several witnesses were examined. It will be continued to-morrow. The brother of the child who died was one of tbe principal witnesses yesterday, and his evidence was given in an unsatisfactory way, and he contradicted himself about the number of heatings his brother received from his parents.
