MEMORANDA.

Halcombe and Slier A-ill's next Feilding stock sale will be held on the 12th inst. Tenders for the supply of 13,529 sleepers close to-morrow. A first-class double-barrelled gun is advertised for sale. The Foresters' Ball will be held on the llth of next month. J. W. Eade has on hand a first-class variety of picture frame mouldings. The Jane Douglas sails from Foxton for Wellington, on arrival of tho noon train, to-morrow. A new advertisement from Mr Fowles, watchmaker, &c, appears before the leader. A tea-meeting will be held in the Primitive Methodist Church, this evening. Admission, ls 6d. Mr Cottrell has received his wellselected stock of drapery and clothing for the winter season. Several new advertisements from Palmerston and Wanganui will appear in a future issue.
