LAST NIGHT'S ENTERTAINMENT.

9 As might have been expected there was a large attendance at the Town Hali to see and hear that renowned mimic and ventriloquist, Frederic Maccable, in his world-famed entertainment entitled "Begone, dull care," and doubtless the audience would have been still larger but for the inclement weather which prevailed during the latter part of the day. Mr -■ accabe gave his audience a display of his marvellous capability of changing his voice, figure and expression of face, in the impersonation of various types of well-known characters, together with the j most rapid and picturesque changes of i costume, interspersing the whole with original songs and appropriate music. For upwards of two hours he succeeded 'in keep ng his audience in roars of laughter. His display of the art of ventriloquism was exceptionally good, and as an imitator of charactar his equal has never | appeared before the public of Feilding. We should mention that with the exception of the occasional aid of an accompanist on the pianoforte, the whole performance was gone through by Mr Maccabe single handed, a faculty which few entertainers of his type possess, at least with such effect as was produced last night. __________________
