THE DAIRY FACTORY.
TO THB EDITOB OF THB 7BILDIITO BTAB. Sih, — I am glad to find that your constant advocacy of the establishment of local industries is likely to hare another proof of not being without the desired effect, as was shown at the meeting held on Thursday night with reference to the proposed cheese and butter factory. There can be little doubt of the success of the committee appointed for collect* ing the required data and other necessary information. These factories have been a great success in other parts of the colony, and already two hate lodged claims with the Government for the prpferred bonus of £500 for the first certain quantity of cheese produced, and of one thing we may be quite sure, that no district in the colony is better adapted for the purpose of producing all the requisites fora dairy factory than our owq. " We've got the land, we're got the stock, and we're got the money too," and as these are the principal requirements there is nothing to hinder the speedy establishment of such an industry the great advantages to all classes resulting from which, are two palpable to need further dilating upon. — I am, &0,, Sbttxbb.
