SAD CASE OF BROWNING.

o (PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIT'ON.) Auckland, This Day. In connection with the recent drowning accident, it has been ascertained that Susan Duncan, whose body has been recovered, was seen ou the wharf at midnight on Saturday in company with C. Baker, a seaman of the schooner Saxon. They left the wharf in a small dingy. There are no signs of Baker. Both were under the influence of liquor. The inquest on the body of the woman Susan Duncan was adjourned to procure evidence as to the missing seaman, Baker, who is supposed to have been drowned at the same time. A woman named Eliza Deitrich has told the police that she saw Duncan fall over the wharf, but she is so muddled with drink that the police can make nothing of her statements.
