The show attracted, as usual, a lars:c number of visitors, especially in tile oyening, when the hall was well filled, every place in the surrounding district being fairly represented. The proceedings were enlivened by the strains of the Makino band, the Jife and dnini, and the string parts ot tfft bund, playih" alternately at intervals in xi very rivditable manner. Tin- performances of this band' were generally admired, and Mr.J. Currcon is to be congratulated on the progress made by liis band. After the show many of the productions were "knocked down."" by Mr SherwiH's hammer, and the prices realised were, on the whole, very good. After the sale: a dance was held in aid of the band, and was well patronised, the dancing being"; "kept up till about 4 a.m. this morning.' The exhibition altogether was very successful, and must have tended greatly to the encouragement of horticultural aod pastoral pursuits in the Manchester Block. .
