THE HORTICULTURAL SHOW.
The autumn, exhibition of the Man<;hpster .Horticultural and; Pastoral Society was held in the Town Hall yesterday. - ' Therp were ala number o£ exhibits, especially of fruit and ve^etable*, and some of the specimens, notwithstanding the drawbacks of the season were remarkably fine- We, may make particular mention of the apples, some of the samples 'of which were really magni/ficent, and we are of opinion that they could not be excelled in any other part of the colony. The show of vegetables was, ia quantify and- quality, "^much beyond what was anticipated- The exhibition of pot plants was not so large as in the spring,, but the specimens were rather finer, while of cut flowers, bouquets, &c., there was a very fair show. The exhibition, on the" whole, exceeded the expectalions of both the committee and visitors, And must certainly be pronounced |a jaiceess.
