PERSONAL.
■ • — To-day the Feildixg Star is issued as a tri-weekly journal. This step has been rendered necessary by its increased circulation, and by the very liberal sujw port it has received from the business people of Wanganui, Manawatu and the Manchester Block in particular. In other parts of the Colony also, the advantages offered by our columns to advertisers, have been, and are, largely appreciated. We are aware that with the increased publicity given by a tri-weekly issue such support will be largely increased, and, we are confident, will more than meet the necessarily increased expenditure on the part of the proprietors in supplying telegraphic local, and general news. So far the results attained have exceeded our most sanguine expectations, and in making the present venture we do so with the firm belief that the liberal support accorded us in the past will not be withheld from us in the future. We desire to tender our thanks to those friends and supporters who have so literally assisted us, and we need hardly say that the fulurp conduct of this journal, in relation to matters concerning the welfare and prosperity of the Manchester Block, will prove unmistake* ably that such onfidence. and support have not been misplaced or abused. ,
