THE ENGLISH CRICKETERS.

[TEE UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION.] Sydney, January 80. The Englishmen met with a very cordial reception upon the- completion of the match. Great excitement prevailed towards the finish, and the easy defeat of the Australians created much surprise. Blackham played excellent cricket for his innings of 26, and the complete collapse of the remainder of tbe team was unexpected. Several of the batsmen were, however, quite out of form. Barlow tookseven wickets for 40 runs, and bowled splendidly throughout the innings. The remaining two fell to Morley for 34. It is estimated that fully seven thousand spectators were present.
