' ■ : '- ' - Mr Wilkinson read the foUpwing-twenty-eighth quarterly report' of the Leyland and Farington Co-operative* Society: — "We have pleasure lttprt?' senting you with the quarterly financial statement, from which you will see ire have received over counter £1,951 158 6fd, which is below last quarter's rei. ceipts by £179 17s Id, but exceedspthe corresponding quarter of 1881 by £63 53, 2d. We have received from cbnttribu-" tions to share capital £118 3s lOd, and have paid £282 17s 9d, which makes, the, present claim of members £3,446 18s 9d, or an average of £10 17s 4d. The net profit, after deducting the usual expenses, depreciation of property, and fixed stock, is £237 15s 3d, which.it is prpppsedrto dispose of in the following manner : — Jo pay a dividend of 2s 8d in the £ on £1,743 numbers' checks, amounting fo £232 Bs, ana a dividend of Is 4d in the £ on £21 non-members' purchases, amounting to £1 Bs, and the remainder, £3' 19s 3d, to be added to the reserve fund; which; will make this fund £227 9s lid; torequal to Is 3fd for every pound of share capital." . ■ „.'.,., After a lengthy discussion it was decided to adjourn the meeting for fourteen days, to mcci at the same hour and placb.
