Colonel Gorton is advertising for a man for general work. A section of land is advertised for sale in Princes-street, for £60. Head Peter Bell's altered advertisement on the fourth page. Stevens and Gorton will hold a stock sale at Awahuri, on Tuesday next. The Jane Douglas will leave Foxton for Wellington, after arrival of the train to-night. William Purdio Currie has been appointed creditors* trustee in the estate of Esteven Bellve. Haloombo and Shcrwill hold their next stock sale at Feilding, on Thursday, February Bth, Tenders are invited elsewhere for cer« tain works by tho Manchester Highway Board. Haloombe and Sherwill hold a sale of furniture, Ac, at Mr Soundy's resihenoe, on Saturday next. The business notice of T. Jordan, stablokeeper, of Palmerston, appears in another column. Tenders are invited for the collection of dog tax in the Kiwitea and the Oroua Sidings. Nominations for the election of five committeemen for the Lioensing District of Kiwitea, close on Tuesday next, and for the Manchester Distriot, on Monday.
