B USH FIRES.
These fires have c •ufcinn.-'d t<-> burn without interruption sinev >ur i.i.st issue, and, \re regret to red>i\l, n-u wuhout cmsing serious loss. Tin- private dwelling lumse belonging to Mr West, situated near the Taonni reserve, was burned down on Monday morning. As Air West was away from the building assisting to prevent the fire from advancing on valuable bush, and his wife and family were out on a visit, the house was left entirely untenanted. A. shift in the wind guided the fire down upon the devoted building aud it was utterly destroyed, scarcely a vestige being left behind. The uuhappy consequence is that Mr West and his family have had .the vrhole of their furniture and clothing destroyed. I hree telegraph poles were burned down nearSsvainson's Crossing, and communication with Halcombe was interrupted for about two hours. The line men were soou at work and erected temporary poles. ..^.^.—-—.a-— .
