THE DUNE DIN ELECTION.

[pee united press association.] ;Dunedin, This Day. Mr Larnacli was able to be presentat the official declaration of the poll. Bishop Moran admitted that he did not expect to be elected. His objects in coming forward were to. call attention to the in* justice done to Catholics on the education question, and to keep Donnelly out. He regretted that no steps had been taken I by Larnacli with regard to the untrue statement issued respecting his (Bishop) candidature, and in conclusion said that as to choice of language and election epithets, Larnach stood head and shoulders above other men, and would doubtless represent the electors to their heart's content.
