DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES.

The annual distribution of prizes to the scholars of the Feilding public school took place in the school-house on Monday forenoon. There was only a small attendance of the parents and friends of the children. The Rev. J. Jones, chairman of the school committee, distributed the prizes, which consisted for the most part of well-selected and handsomely•bound books. The possible number of marks for attendance was 412, and tbe •qualification for a prize was, Cor town dndrcn 361, and for the country 309, while prizes for successful examination were only awarded where the pupils had passed from one standard to another ■during the year.
