The cricket match between the Aus» itralians and the EngUsh team was resumed to-day, when the Englishmen •continued their first innings, which closed for a total of 169. The Australians, requiring 56 runs to win the match, then "Commenced their second innings. They •succeeded in putting together 58 with the loss of only one wicket, thus winning the match with nine wickets to spare. The attendance at the match was enormous, ithe greatest interest being taken in the game. Intense excitement prevailed (towards the close of the game. The return match will be played here on the 19 th instant
