MANCHESTER C. C. V. RANGITIKEI C. C.
This match came off on Saturday last at Feilding, and resulted in a victory for the home team by 6 wickets. The Manchester captain (G.Bartholomew) having won the toss, elected to put his opponents in. Frood, the Bangitikei captain, Chen tent in Maclean and Broughton to Uie bowling of Nix and Roe. The only man to make anything of a " stand " was Hudson, the bowling of Nix being being really splendid, 7 of the 10 wickets * railing to his credit. For the Manchester, in their ffrst innings, Rowley batted well tot his 15, but was unfortunately - run out. In the Rangitikei 2nd innings Hudson, Broughton, and Wilson, got into •double figures. In the Manchester 2nd inn— gs Nix played really well for his 18. The following are the scores : —
