10s : fowls' wheat, 3s Gd to 4s 3d, acording to quality; bran, £6; pollard. £7; flour is exceedingly hard to quit at £11 ]os, bakers having stock for several weeks to come ; chaff, £"4 to £1 10s; cheese in good demand at 9d to 9|d ; potatoes arc exceedingly scarce all over the colony, and sell readily at £6 (sacks extra) iv Wellington, Christchurch quotations ruling higher than £7. At the produce sale this morning, oranges, second-class quality, realised 8s Bd to 9s ; mandarins. Us ; lemons, 16s ; gooseberries, G\<i ; butter, 9d ; eggs, Is 2d ; fowls, -Is 6d ; now potatoes, 2d per 11), with rather an active enquiry. I
