MESSRS STEVENS AND GORTON'S STOCK SALE.

Messrs Stevens and Gorton held their usual monthly stock sale at the Denbigh sale yards yesterday. The attendance was good and the bidding brisk. There were 206 head of cattle and 450 sheep yarded. The bidding for sheep was spirited, and rates were very satisfactory. Following are the prices realised : — Beef, £8; 2 year-old steers, £3 12s 6d to £3 19s ; cows, £3 15s ; yearlings, £2 to £2 10s ; fat wethers in wool, 15s ; wethers, 13s 3d ; hoggets, 7s 3d to 9s 1 ; hacks, £5 to £16 10s
