« At'CKLAXD, This Day. Some time ago the ketch Ad;ih left Auckland for Lord Howe's Island, having on board Mr Wm. Rowe, and a party of men, proceeding thither with the intention of bringing to New Zoalnnd 20 or 30 tons of tin ore found on that Island. The party are expected to return in three weeks. An Auckland expressman drew Assyrian in a £3,000 consultation, and an Auckland draper drew Gudarz. Gisboene, This Day. A meeting has been held for the purpose of forming an electric light company, and decided to ask the Borongh Council if they woul i undertake to light the town, and if not the Council to allow the company to do so. Lyttleton, This Day. Arrived— Marlborough, ship. Captain Anderson, from London, after a passage of 90 days, with 47 passengers.
