THE NEW COUNTY CHAIRMAN.
At the County Council meeting yesterday, at Foxton, Cr Rockstrow moved a resolution that Cr Mae^rthup's resignation be received with regret. Cr uray then proposed, and t'r McLennan seconded—"That Cr Rockstrow be elected Chairman for the unexpired period of this year." — Carried.
