The balance of interest transferred to Expenses Account, was £1,928. The total amount of interest received on General Investment Account amounted _o £4,705. From . a 'variety of cause's "the net" profits of the year have only amounted to £1,673, .The estates administered - numbered 217. Orders of administration granted by the Court to the Public Trustee numbered" 92. Probates and letters of administration'numbered 9. Money trusts' undertaken, 13. Owing to the rapidly developing business of the departmentj it has been foUnd absolutely necessary to increase the clerical staff of the office.
