Chbistchurch, September 5. ■ WHEAT.-^Transaetions Tiave been on the most meagre' scale, and little or no. business has been entertained. Quotations range from 4s 7cl to 4s lOd for milling lots, y hick parcels have ..been sold at 3s 3d to 3s 9d. Oats.— The market for oats has been equally inactive. Prices, however, remain undisturbed. Most of the pur-' chases lately have been for seed purposes. • ' • Babi/i'.y. — Prime malting is quoted at 4s 6d to 4s 9d, and second . quality at 4s Ito 4s sd. Feed, parcels in small lots have been tiken at 3s 6d to 3s 9d. Grass Se>d. — Byegrass is offering in, quantity, and prices are easier. Best dressed seed is quoted at 5s to 5s 3d, and other 1 sorts 4s to 4s lOd, according to sample. Cocksfoot' 6yd to S^d. Dairy Pboduoe. —Butter, Is o£d to Is l|d for prime. Cheese, 7£d to B£. Hams and bacon .I\A. to Bd.
