"" - — ~: *1, ' ' The usual monthly meeting was held on Monday evening last. Present — Messrs Haultain, Worsfold, Watts, and Wright, Hon. Sec. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Secretary reported that he had received from the Secretary of the Board of Education a specification, which included repairs and work already finished, and omitting the essentials for the school buildings and grounds. He had returned the specifications to the Bqard with his remarks and explanations appended. Mr j Wright's lettet was approved of, and he was directed to supplement the same by an application for *he cost of the necessary gravellmg Urgently required at the school entrances, and adjacent to the building, also for a refund of the amount expended by the committee at the schoolmaster's house. •:.■-. The resignation of the Misses Nathan as .pupil teachers, and their acceptance by the executive of. the Board, was received from the CLuurman. Tho head teacher was requested to furnish testimonials to these young ladies in the usual form. The Chairman to countersign the same, on behalf of the committee, should he approve the contents thereof. The attendance register was received, by which a considerable 'increase in the' attendance was shown, but _s till aTong way short of what was usual prior to the late epidemic of measles. • -..■•■
