CORRESPONDENCE.
WHAT SHALL WE DO WI H OUR BOYS P TO THB EDTTOB. Sib, — I noticed a paragraph in the Wanganni Chronicle", copied from the Feuding' Stab, in praise of the heiltby and clean appearance of the children attending bur 'school, but did it never occur to you what we are to do with the boys when they leave school, say at the age of 14 to 16? At present for the want of any suitable place of recreation, they are mostly driven to the billiard rooms, where they are seen, quiet and well behaved. Now, sir, do you not think it would be time well spent to agitate the' forming of a Gymnastic Club, Debating Society, and Reading Room with a Public Library? The Borough have, I believe, power to levy a library rate, and I feel sure a num. ber would join as members, or cause the rate to, be struck, besides becoming do* nators, and I also would be very happy to contribute my mite towards sp desirable an object. Let us think only of advanceii ent, forgetting former-failures, and let the watch word be "progress". — I am, &c, Gymnast.
