THE OAMARU MURDER.
[by telkgraph] Oaviauu. July 18. A'exauder Beal tie was cba-ged at the Magistrate's Court with the murder of Sarah Adams, at Pnpakaio, on or about tlie 10th of June. The ev : dence adduced so far is the veiy same as given at the inquest last week. Sergt.-Maj or Thompson, in opening the case, said lie would produce evidence tbat the woman was alive on the JOth June, when Beattie went home, and said tbat the theory was that the prisoner murdeved her that night, and that he buried her the following night when he left tbe hotel, where he had a bed. The case is likely to last two or three days.
