BULLS COURSING CLUB.
"♦" SECOND DAY. [by telegbaph.] Bulls, July 13. The day broke fine,, though very heavyrain had fallen during the night. At 8 o'clock a move was made towards Major Willis's splendid paddocks, between Greatford and M arton, and as the ground is nearly level the coursers were seen from start to finish. The sport all through was superior to that of yesterday, and Major Willis did aU he could to make it successful by showing the way round the best spots. There were four spills, but, with the exception of Mr Dalziell, the secretary, whose horse dropped dead under him, and severely bruised him, no one was any the worse. The ladies showed up again well, and Marton people helped to swell the numbers, which towards afternoon must have been close upon a hundred on horseback. Sport commenced with Clio and Gallant in the slips. Clio won easily. Marmion and Denny came next, Denny winning. Dutchman and Steam had a grand course. The course was decided in favor of Dutchman. Fly beat Deerfoot after some pretty work. In the following round Alice and Princess were slipped in rough ground; Alice was the winner. Countess ran a bye with Steam. The concluding course was with Vril and Opawa. It was the severest of the day, though Vril did nearly all the work, Opawa being unable to get on term* with him ; Vril won. Three more courses have yet to be run to finish the first round, and a start is to be made in Mr J. G. Wilson's lower paddock, and work towards Sandon. The rounds may be got through this week, but visitors are complaining that it is .rather slow. Messrs Hill and Poll brought out their totalisator, but they did very little business.
