SATURDAY’S RESULTS

LADIES' DIVISION

In the ladies' division in Saturday's hockey matches, Waiuku A (2 goal's) -Leal Waiuku B (nil). This match was a fairly even one, the B’s showing much improved form, which kept the A’s busy. No score resulted up to half time. On resumption the A's livened up, and had the better of tilings. F. Oldham and N. Plavcll netted for the winners. The Rev. 0. H. Kondon was referee.

Whiri Wliiri , J goals) beat Aka Aka (1 goal).—This game was played at Aka Aka before a fair attendance of spectators. From the bully .Wliiri Wliiri attacked, but were,,well stopped by M. Maluschka, who cleared and set the local forwards in action. A. Smith relieved the pressure, but Aka Aka were not to lie denied, and a good rush led by 1. Landon ended in M. Maxwell netting for the home team. The remainder of the spell, was fast and even, both sides narrowly missing several scores. On., play being rostrated the visitors were away goal hunting, bul good defence kept the score (town. Not to be denied; Whiri again took the ball down, and a bad infringement by the home goalie resulted in a penalty bully, from which P. McDonald equalised the scores. Soon after the resulting bully, an unfortunate accident caused the retirement of M. Matuschka. On play being resumed the visitors attacked, and M. Brown added another goal. From this on the visitors bad the better of the game .and just before the call of time M. Brown netted again, the game ending: Whiri Wliiri J: Aka Aka 1.

For the winners. A. Smith and N. Codiin wore the best backs, and M. Brown was prominent in the forwards.

For Aka Aka. M. Matuschka. E. Robertson and P. Flexman played well in the hacks, and I. Landon and M. Maxwell were the pick of a good set. of forwards. The losers were unfortunate in losing file services of two players during the game, as up to the time of‘the accidents play was very even. The referee was Mr E. Hay. Onifwhero (4 goals) heat Paiumahoe ,2). —Referee, Mr Geo. Howard. Mauku (1 goal by J. Zinzan) beat Pukekohe 11. S. Old Girls (nil). —Referee, Mr W. McMurlrie.
