Mrs A. G. Gill, who Iqi.s been somewhat seriously indisposed for Ihe lias fori nigh I. is now convalescent, allhough si ill confined lo hoc home.
Miss I. Hobson, of Pukekohe Hill who lias been confined to her home willi a fraelured leg ,is now convalescent and is able to get about willi tin aid of crutches.
The Rev. S. Nixon, who has been confined to his bed for some weeks, is making steady progress towards convalescence and hopes to leave his room next week.
Mrs Don, Dominion President of the Womens Christian Temperance Unidn, was a visitor to Pukekohe on Wednesday, and was the guest, of Mrs J. Crosbie, - Manukau Road. Mrs Don left by the Rotorua express yesterday for Hamilton.
Mr 11. Welsh, business agent for live New Zealand Railways, was on a visit lo Pukekohe liiis week to discuss with local produce merchants the question of through transportation of polatoes to Ihe South Island, a scheme adopted by the Department recently.
