Messrs Friedlander and Woulde’s are to be congratulated upon their interpretation and U’endering. Mr Woulde’s was also heard to advantage in a clarionet solo, and proved himself .a master of his instrument. A trio consisting of violin, flute and bass, captivated the audience, and the players, Messrs Klemman, Friedlander Bear showed considerable ability in their performance- During the evening songs were sung by Mrs (Taylor, Mrs Mcllraith, Mrs Hunter and Messrs Lowe and Peat, an,d the requisite touch of humour 'sqas given by Mr. McElvvain, flrom Auckland, who is as popular as ever in his monologue work. If anything; the concert was overlong and the chatter which was permitted to mar some qf the items was to be deprecated. But apafrt from thesej minor matters,, the concert proved that Tuakau can easily beat her sister towns along the line, in the production of intsrumenbal music..
