DEADLY DRINKS.
“A careful examination of the liquor daily sold in New Y’ork shows that no less than 98 per cent is unfit for human consumption. A large proportion is instant and deadly poison. Whether the samples analysed came from the squalid public-houses or from highclass hotels makes no difference. Only 2 per cent is genuine.” This is a report from the New York correspondent of the London “Times.” Prohibtion brings a flood of poisonous liquor that undermines the health of the community.
