BOWLING.

LABOUR DAY (TOURNEY. WON BY DUNCAN ROULSTON. The Pukekohe Bowling Club’s Labour Day tournament was held, yesterday in fine but windy weather. Seventeen teams including rinks front Tiuakau, Buckland, Waiuku, Otahuhu and Papatoetoe and Pukekohe. The competing rinks were divided into itwo sections A. and B. The “A” section was won by W. F. J. Munro, Dave Roulston, Jas. Roulston and Duncan Roulston. ,“B” section ended up with A. Gill, W. Wright, W. Wilson and W. Blake equal with E.* E;. Ingpen, W. Adams, J. Adams andf F. Perkins. * In the "play off Perkins won and thus annexed the section

Great interest was itaken in the final between Roulston and! Perkins. The latter made a good start but failed to sustain the effort. Roulston kept pegging away,, and in the end had a fairly large majority of points. The winner repeated his last Labour Day performance. The clfub’s patron, Mr W. .Roulston, was ptiseked to play in th’e winning team, but owing to a slight indisposition was unable to take his place, but a good substitute in Mr Munro was unearthed.
