TREASURER’S REPORT,. At Thursday's meeting of the Fr?nklir- Couraty Council tins tfeas—i . cr (Mr Alan P. Day)*in his report stated that the Antecedent Liability account overdraft was £10.204 16s 6dThe overdraft ojf the County Fund account at the 30th of September was £16,670 5s 7d. (The accounts due and payable totalled £2207 17s Bd. RIDING EXPENDITURE. The amounts allocated for works during the current year and the amounts expended on works in each Riding siince Ist April 1922 are as follows, the amounts allocated; are given in parenthesis :■—Awhitu Riding (£1060). expended £5Ol 18s 1,1 d; Drury Riding (£2714), £1366 3s Hunua Ridiing (£785), £513 10s 8d ;Karaka Riding (£2223) £1558 19s 6d; Mauku Riding (£1391), £Bl4 15s lid, Mercer Riding (£2122), £2059 15s ; Pukekohe East Hiding (£1442) £9OB 8s 9d Pukekohe West Riding (£1870), £1163 15s 6d ; Waipipi Riding (£1690), £IO6O 2s 3d; Waiuku Riding (£2726) £956 17s sd. Totals (£lB 023), £10.904 6s lid. The report stated that the WaliauKaraka loan of £27,000 was at 11th October, 1922. in credit £4882 11s 4d ; Awhitut Riding Roads loan £lO 000 (£7OOO received; was -in credit £1414 3s 8d ; and the machinery and plant loan of £IB,OOO was in credit £2422 0s Id. The report stated further that since Ist April 1922, £3682 15s lid had been collected out cf General Hospital and special rates outstand,ing for previous years. There was £3106 14s Id still outstanding, but the treasurer estimated that of this amount approximately £1250 was not recoverable being native rates, and rates on absentees’ farms, etc. The Finance Committee adopted the l'eport.
