On Wednesda y week lasi I lie Tuakau Plimkol Society ladies gave a dance in the hall with the ouject of augmenting the funds of l:he Society. This is the most recent of a number of enfcertainmens in aid of this most •deserving cause—the previous affairs having taken the form of 500 card parties. On this occasion the hall was comfoi/tably filled and a happy evening was spent. The thanks of the committee are due to Mr Lowe and Mr KMnman. who provided most of Lie music for the dance, Extras wore also contributed by several ladies and by Mr Ludwig. Mr A. Booth acted as a incut efficient M.C, The laclies of the Socitffy provided a dainty supper.
