MAUKU TENNIS CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING, The '.annual general meeting of the Mauku Tennis Club was held in the Mauku Victory Hall on Friday, Ist Sepember, 1922. Other events were responsible for only a fair attendance. Mr J. F. Davies was voted jto the chair. The report showed, the past season to have been a most successful one, .inasmuch as the membership had increased and there had been considerable improvement to he club’s grounds. The balance! sheet showing a deficit’ of £9 19s was adopted. Considering the heavy expenditure for the past season and the present good order of the courts, ithe financial position was thought very satisfactory. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season: ) President, Mr J. F, Davies vice-president, Mr W. G. Hutchinson; auditor,. Mr R. M. Crrispe ('re-elected) ; treasurer, Mr R. Hogwood; secretary, Mr V. Wright committee, Mrs Zinzan, Misses Wright and Cutfieldi, Messrs S. Hutchinson* Gillon, Outfield and Ward.

The subscriptions for the coming season fixed as for last season : Gents £l, ladies 10s,

|The opening day was fixed for Saturday, 14th October. About twenty new members were elected and everything points do & most successful season.
