TAKANINI FOOTBALLERS’ DANCE.
On Ju! ( v 26th the Takanini footballers held a d' nee in the Manurewa H.aV. as a. wind-up to their football season. Thee was i large rftitendance of friends and' fellow foot-batters from all pai/ts cf the district,, Rapakura. Dnfry and Cleveidon being well represented. 'The music was supplied by Deed’s orchestra from Pukekohc. Messrs Dempsey, R. Heuch and B. Cocks were very capable M's.C. The hall was very prettily .decorated with the club’s colours, (green and black). During the evening a waltzing competition which caused much interest. was held. Miss Allien and Mr Palmer were ■awarded the prises,, which were handsome gold medals. Among those present were :. Mrs Johnson : Black crepe do chine. Mrs Cox. sen. : Green silk over georgette. Mrs Keane : Black net and gold, lace. Mrs Keecii : Black silk. Mrs Vose: Mauve over white satin. Mrs Knight : Black crepe de chine*. and 'tango georgette. Mrs Haynes: Black' silk. Mrs Codings : Black spangled net. Mrs R. Reach : Henna ? with gold, trimmings. Mrs Sturgeon: Cre'fvm silk. Mrs Bycroft : White crepe de chine. Mif. Brown: Black silk. Mrs Claydon : Cream silk. Mrs Harris : Black silk, lace over skirt. Mrs M. Roberts: Black silk, green embroidery ■ Mrs Bannister: Pink georgette. Mrs F. Hogan: Pale blue silk. Miss Donaldson : Emerald green silk. Miss Johnson : Bale blue tulle over silk. Miss Heggerty : Pale blue net. Miss Sc.surgeon : Cream silk. Miss Thompson : Salmon georgette. Miss Morris : White silk. Miss C. Smith : Pink georgette. Miss Hogan: White silk. Miss H. Smith: Pale blue. Miss Lu.pton :Black and cream.
