PAPATOETOE TOWN BOA RD
IBUSSNESS MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of ‘the Papatostoe Town Board was held on Tuesday evening last, Mr Arthur Hall, presiding. There were also prepent : Messrs J. Bryant, Geo. Smith, J. Watson. S. McCullough, J. Death, jA. TJ. Timewell. and H. C. Ernest (Town Clerk). The foreman’s report was adopted cn the motion of Mr Death, seconded by Mr Bryant . It was decided to use the grader on the edges of the metal on all roads where this was necessary. Winiere Estate Drainage, fThe Manukau County Council’s engineer replied in an unsatiofadtory manner to ’the complaint regarding drainage, and lit was decided to ask the Board’s engineer to inspect the locality and confer with ’the County Council’ engineer. The engineer (Mr Spencer) wrote reporting on several matters and it was decided to purchase filling for the new formation on Station Road at the railway ramp alt Is 9d per yard, to shift the boulldei’s out of the way of the filVng, and to supply thirty 6 ‘inch, field tiles to Mr C. E. Wai|tei, of Cornwall Road,, to carry storm water to the hollow in his section. Russian Famine Relief Fund. A, circular appeal was received for contributions to the Russian Famine ReMeif Fund. It was; decided to bring the matter under thej notice of the ministers of (the various churches, and also make an announcement at the next meeting of the Debating Society. Accounts.
