THE FIRST RESULTS. MRS W. TAYLOR LEADING. JUST AHHAD OF MISS McGAHAN. Interest in the Tuakau Queen Carnival was stimulated • on Saturday, when the first results in connection, with the poll between the candidates for the “Throne’’ were announced. At the end of the first, pariod the positions were : Mrs W, J. Taylor, “Sports Queen,” 1200 votes. Miss L. McGahan, “Industries Queen,” 1000 votes. Miss Murray, “farmers’ Queen ” 820 votes. Miss B. Geraghtv, “Soldiers’ Queen” 600 votes. Mrs Potawa, Maori Queen,” 418 votes, > ,Results will be announced in the Times whenever they are available. .District news
