Harvest Thanksgiving services willlie conducted on Sunday next in St. James’ Church at 11 and 7, also at Bombay at 2.30.

Miss Alice Ryan, A.T.C.L., has commenced teaching the Hawaiian Ukulele, the popular instrument of the day. She guarantees to teach any pupil in 12 Issons. Miss Ryan has removed her studio from Edinburgh Street to King Street, Pukekohe.

On Sunday next. Harvest Thanksgiving Services will be held in St. James’ Presbyterian Church. The morning service will be conducted by Mr E. Allan, and in the evening Rev. W. T, Comrie, of Wellington, will conduct the service. All contributions in the form of produce, jams, cakes, etc., will be forwarded to the Orphan Homes, conducted by the Rev. J. R. Jeffries.

Messrs Carden *and Co. commence their weekly sales to-morrow at 12.30 in Brassey am)| Co’s late premises, Edinburgh Stret. All kinds of produce, grain, furniture and general lines will be offered. The manaager, Mr Carden, Las been in business in th town for the past six months, in the capacity of manager for Radley and Co., of Auckland. The firm will continue to carry on the produce business, and trust the farmers will give them the past measure of support.
